Essence:
This Shaanti Mantra is a universal prayer for:
- Cosmic peace (heaven, sky, Earth)
- Natural harmony (water, plants, herbs, trees)
- Divine peace (among gods and spiritual forces)
- Inner and outer peace (individual and collective)
- And ultimately, peace that permeates everything—and dwells within.
Why It Ends with Three “Shaantih”s:
The threefold “Shaantih, Shaantih, Shaantih” traditionally addresses:
- Physical disturbances (Adhibhautika): from environment, nature, others
- Divine disturbances (Adhidaivika): from fate, unseen forces, celestial
- Internal disturbances (Adhyatmika): from within us—mind, body, emotions
