LYRICS MEANING AND EXPLANATION
namōstu tē mahādēvi śivē kalyāṇi śāmbhavi |
prasīda vēdavinutē jagadamba namōstu tē || 1 ||
Meaning:
O Great Goddess (Mahādevī), consort of Śiva, the auspicious one (Kalyāṇī), daughter of Śambhu (Śāmbhavi) — I bow to you!
Praised even by the Vedas themselves, O Mother of the Universe (Jagadamba), please be gracious to me. I bow again and again to you.
