ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः।ॐ तत् सवितुर् वरेण्यं।भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि।धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्॥
Transliteration:
Om Bhur Bhuvah Swaha
Om Tat Savitur Vareniyam
Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi
Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat
Word-by-Word Meaning:
- Om – The primordial sound, the sacred syllable representing the Absolute.
- Bhur – The physical world (Earth / material plane).
- Bhuvah – The mental world (atmosphere / realm of becoming).
- Swaha (Svah) – The celestial, spiritual world (heaven / realm of divine consciousness).
- Tat – That (referring to the Supreme Reality).
- Savitur – Of Savita, the Divine Sun (source of all life and energy).
- Vareniyam – Most adorable, fit to be worshipped or revered.
- Bhargo – Divine radiance, effulgence.
- Devasya – Of the deity, the divine.
- Dhimahi – We meditate upon / we contemplate.
- Dhiyo – Intellects, understanding, wisdom.

Full Translation (Poetic & Devotional):
"Om, we meditate on the divine essence of the threefold realm – Earth, Sky, and Heaven.
We contemplate the glorious light of the radiant divine Sun (Savita).
May that Divine Light awaken and guide our intellect and understanding."
