vandē rādhāpadāmbhōjaṁ brahmādisuravindatam |

śataśr̥ṅganivāsinyai candrāvatyai namō namaḥ || 2 ||

namō:’stu viṣṇumāyāyai vaiṣṇavyai ca namō namaḥ || 9 ||

mahāmāyāsvarūpāyai sampadāyai namō namaḥ |
namaḥ kalyāṇarūpiṇyai śubhāyai ca namō namaḥ || 10 ||

mātrē caturṇāṁ vēdānāṁ sāvitryai ca namō namaḥ |
namō:’stu buddhirūpāyai jñānadāyai namō namaḥ || 11 ||

namō durgavināśinyai durgādēvyai namō namaḥ |
tējaḥsu sarvadēvānāṁ purā kr̥tayugē mudā || 12 ||

adhiṣṭhānakr̥tāyai ca prakr̥tyai ca namō namaḥ |
namastripurahāriṇyai tripurāyai namō namaḥ || 13 ||

sundarīṣu ca ramyāyai nirguṇāyai namō namaḥ |
namō nidrāsvarūpāyai nirguṇāyai namō namaḥ || 14 ||

namō dakṣasutāyai ca namaḥ satyai namō namaḥ |
namaḥ śailasutāyai ca pārvatyai ca namō namaḥ || 15 ||

namō namastapasvinyai hyumāyai ca namō namaḥ |
nirāhārasvarūpāyai hyaparṇāyai namō namaḥ || 16 ||

gaurīlaukavilāsinyai namō gauryai namō namaḥ |
namaḥ kailāsavāsinyai māhēśvaryaiḥ namō namaḥ || 17 ||

nidrāyai ca dayāyai ca śraddhāyai ca namō namaḥ |
namō dhr̥tyai kṣamāyai ca lajjāyai ca namō namaḥ || 18 ||

tr̥ṣṇāyai kṣutsvarūpāyai sthitikartryai namō namaḥ |
namaḥ saṁhārarūpiṇyai mahāmāryai namō namaḥ || 19 ||

bhayāyai cābhayāyai ca muktidāyai namō namaḥ |
namaḥ svadhāyai svāhāyai śāntyai kāntyai namō namaḥ || 20 ||

namastuṣṭyai ca puṣṭyai ca dayāyai ca namō namaḥ |
namō nidrāsvarūpāyai śraddhāyai ca namō namaḥ || 21 ||

kṣutpipāsāsvarūpāyai lajjāyai ca namō namaḥ |
namō dhr̥tyai kṣamāyai ca cētanāyai namō namaḥ || 22 ||

sarvaśaktisvarūpiṇyai sarvamātrē namō namaḥ |
agnau dāhasvarūpāyai bhadrāyai ca namō namaḥ || 23 ||

śōbhāyai pūrṇacandrē ca śaratpadmē namō namaḥ |
nāsti bhēdō yathā dēvi dugdhadhāvalyayōḥ sadā || 24 ||

yathaiva gandhabhūmyōśca yathaiva jalaśaityayauḥ |
yathaiva śabdanabhasōrjyōtiḥ sūryakayōryathā || 25 ||

lōkē vēdē purāṇē ca rādhāmādhavayōstathā |
cētanaṁ kuru kalyāṇi dēhi māmuttaraṁ sati || 26 ||

ityuktvā cōddhavastatra praṇanāma punaḥ punaḥ |
ityuddhavakr̥taṁ stōtraṁ yaḥ paṭhēdbhaktipūrvakam || 27 ||

iha lōkē sukhaṁ bhuktvā yātyantē harimandiram |
na bhavēdbandhuvicchēdō rōgaḥ śōkaḥ sudāruṇaḥ || 28 ||

prōṣitā strī labhētkāntaṁ bhāryābhēdī labhēt priyām |
aputrō labhatē putrānnirdhanō labhatē dhanam || 29 ||

nirbhūmirlabhatē bhūmiṁ prajāhīnō labhēt prajām |
rōgādvimucyatē rōgī baddhō mucyēta bandhanāt || 30 ||

bhayānmucyēta bhītastu mucyētā:’:’panna āpadaḥ |
aspaṣṭakīrtiḥ suyaśā mūrkhō bhavati paṇḍitaḥ || 31 ||

iti śrībrahmavaivartē mahāpurāṇē śrīkr̥ṣṇajanmakhaṇḍē dvinavatitamō:’dhyāyē uddhavakr̥ta śrī rādhā stōtram ||

LYRICS MEANING

Verse 1

vande rādhāpadāmbhojaṁ brahmādisuravanditam |
yatkīrtiḥ kīrtanenaiva punāti bhuvanatrayam ||

Meaning:
I bow to the lotus feet of Rādhā, which are worshipped even by Brahmā and other gods. Her mere glory, when sung, purifies the three worlds.

Essence:
Rādhā's divine presence is supreme—even gods honor her. Chanting her name purifies existence itself.


Verse 2

namo gokulavāsinyai rādhikāyai namo namaḥ |
śataśṛṅganivāsinyai candrāvatyai namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to Rādhikā who resides in Gokula, in Śataśṛṅga (Govardhana) and Candrāvati.

Essence:
Rādhā is deeply rooted in the sacred land of Vraja. She sanctifies every place she inhabits.


Verse 3

tulasīvanavāsinya vṛndāraṇyai namo namaḥ |
rāsamaṇḍalavāsinyai rāseśvaryai namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to her who dwells in Tulasī groves, in the Vṛndāraṇya forest, and in the Rāsa Maṇḍala. She is the queen of the Rāsa dance.

Essence:
Rādhā is at the center of divine love (Rāsa), symbolizing the highest spiritual union.


Verse 4

virajātīravāsinyai vṛndāyai ca namo namaḥ |
vṛndāvanavilāsinyai kṛṣṇāyai ca namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to the one residing near the river Virajā, to Vṛndā, to she who delights in Vṛndāvana, and to Kṛṣṇā (beloved of Kṛṣṇa).

Essence:
Rādhā is identified with Vṛndāvan's sacred essence, its spiritual joy, and Kṛṣṇa's delight.


Verse 5

namaḥ kṛṣṇapriyāyai ca śāntāyai ca namo namaḥ |
kṛṣṇavakṣaḥsthitāyai ca tatpriyāyai namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to Rādhā, beloved of Kṛṣṇa, peaceful and tranquil, who rests on Kṛṣṇa's chest and is his dearest.

Essence:
She is Kṛṣṇa’s innermost companion—his heart's dwelling—embodying peace and love.


Verse 6

namo vaikuṇṭhavāsinyai mahālakṣmyai namo namaḥ |
vidyādhiṣṭhātr̥devyai ca sarasvatyai namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to Rādhā, who resides in Vaikuṇṭha as Mahālakṣmī, the goddess who presides over knowledge, Sarasvatī.

Essence:
Rādhā is the unified form of all divine powers—wealth, wisdom, and transcendence.


Verse 7

sarvaiśvaryādhidevyai ca kamalāyai namo namaḥ |
padmanābhapriyāyai ca padmāyai ca namo namaḥ ||

Homage to Rādhā as the sovereign of all opulence and Lakṣmī, beloved of Padmanābha (Viṣṇu).

Verse 8

mahāviṣṇośca mātre ca parādyāyai namo namaḥ |
namaḥ sindhusutāyai ca martyalakṣmyai namo namaḥ ||

Salutations to the mother of Mahāviṣṇu, the supreme goddess, to the daughter of the ocean (Lakṣmī) and the earthly Lakṣmī.

nārāyaṇapriyāyai ca nārāyaṇyai namo namaḥ |

Salutations to the beloved of Nārāyaṇa, who is Nārāyaṇī herself, Viṣṇumāyā, and the embodiment of Vaiṣṇavī energy.

mahāmāyāsvarūpāyai sampadāyai namo namaḥ |

namo durgavināśinyai durgādevyai namo namaḥ |
tējaḥsu sarvadevānāṁ purā kṛtayuge mudā ||

Salutations to the destroyer of difficulties, to Goddess Durgā, the brilliance behind all deities, revered since the Kṛta Yuga.

adhiṣṭhānakṛtāyai ca prakṛtyai ca namo namaḥ |
namastripurahāriṇyai tripurāyai namo namaḥ ||

Salutations to the basis of all existence (Prakṛti), the destroyer of Tripura (three cities), and to Tripurā herself.

She is the root nature (prakṛti) and also the liberator from material bondage.


Verse 14

sundarīṣu ca ramyāyai nirguṇāyai namo namaḥ |
namo nidrāsvarūpāyai nirguṇāyai namo namaḥ ||

Meaning:
Salutations to the most beautiful among beauties, the formless one (nirguṇā), the embodiment of cosmic sleep (nidrā).

Essence:
Beyond qualities, yet manifesting beauty, Rādhā is pure consciousness even in rest.

All elemental and supreme energies converge in her—from fire to motherhood.


Verses 24–25

These are analogies comparing Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa unity to:

  • Water and coolness

lōkē vēdē purāṇē ca rādhāmādhavayōstathā |

In the world, in Vedas and Purāṇas, Rādhā and Mādhava are always mentioned together. O auspicious one, awaken my consciousness and guide me beyond this world.

Essence:
Recognizing their unity leads to liberation. Rādhā awakens higher spiritual consciousness.


Verse 27

ityuktvā cōddhavastatra praṇanāma punaḥ punaḥ |
ityuddhavakr̥taṁ stōtraṁ yaḥ paṭhēdbhaktipūrvakam ||

Meaning:
Having said this, Uddhava bowed again and again. Whoever reads this hymn with devotion...

Essence:
The stotra, born of Uddhava’s devotion, is a gateway to divine blessings.
